Bookings

  • Browse our cabins from the homepage, select a favourite and choose your dates. We require a minimum stay of 2 nights to fully immerse yourself in nature.

  • Absolutely, just add the ‘Pet fee’ in checkout. It is an additional €30 for the whole stay. We’ll make sure there is a water bowl for your four legged companion.

  • The cabins are suitable for families with one small child if they are able to stay in the bed with you. We do not charge extra for children. We are not able to provide extra beds or baby cots.

About the cabins

  • The cabins are fully equipped with a double bed, kitchen, bathroom with towels and toiletries. To keep you cool we have a fan and AC unit. To warm you up we have a wood burner. To keep you entertained we have games, books, bluetooth speaker, conversation cards and even a polaroid camera.

  • We provide linen, towels and toiletries such as shampoo, body wash and loo roll. We also provide essentials such as drinking water, olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea and dish soap. So all you need to bring is the food and drink needed for your stay. And maybe some bug spray and a good book.

  • Whatever you want. The cabins are the perfect places to slow life down. So we have filled it with analog activities to give you a head start. Such as board games, books, binoculars, yoga mats and a polaroid camera. There’s also a lot you can do in the surrounding area, which we lay out for you in our detailed area guide upon arrival.

  • Yes, our cabins run off solar power, which run an EU plug and USB ports. There’s hot water in the kitchen and bathroom too. But please be mindful about electricity and water usage - remember we are off-grid.

  • Yes to both. The AC is great on hot days, but it draws a lot of power, so please use it thoughtfully. For cooler nights, the wood-burning stove will keep things toasty (only available in winter months).

  • We provide a water dispenser in the kitchen with fresh drinking water. You cannot drink the water from the kitchen or bathroom taps, as well as the shower. For longer stays, we recommend bringing extra drinking water.

  • Our kitchens have everything you need to cook food. A gas stove, fridge, pots, pans, utensils. You will also find basic supplies like tea, coffee, salt, pepper and olive oil. But don’t forgot to bring the ingredients.

  • We do not put Wifi in the cabins for the simple reason that we want you to fully immerse yourself in nature. Every site has good mobile signal so you will still be reachable.

  • Yes, we have installed eco-toilets which allow us to be off-grid.

Access & Safety

  • Our cabin locations are specially selected to so you can immerse in nature. You will not be able to see another building from your front door. However, depending on the cabin you should not be more than 15 - 30 minutes from a local town, just in case you forget any supplies.   • Yes. The final stretch (around 10-15 minutes) will be on a dirt road. Expect some bumps and potholes, maybe a little dust. Drive slowly and aim to arrive before dark to avoid any surprises. Remember, the longer the dirt road, the better the view.

  • Yes, given the remote areas we operate in, safety is a priority for us:

    • The front door can locked and is the only entrance to the cabin.

    • We have a fire extinguisher, fire blankets, smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms in case of any fire hazards.

    • If there is problem with the electricity or heating please immediately message our WhatsApp number and we will get sorted asap.

    • In real emergencies, please follow normal procedure and ring the national emergency services number (112).

Before you arrive

  • We do self check-in. There is a key ready for you in the lockbox at your cabin. We will send you the code before you arrive.

    • Check-in is at 15:00

    • Check-out is at 11:00

    For check-out please leave the key back in the lockbox. Any issues, just message our WhatsApp.

  • 1hr drive from Lisbon and then a 10 minute drive down a dirt road. Be prepared for your car to get a little dusty, this is all part of getting off-grid. If you are arriving by train, catch the 37 minute train from Oritente station (Lisbon) to Reguendo - Vale da Pedra - Pontevel. And from the station take a 15 minute taxi to the cabin’s exact location. Which will be sent to you before you arrive.

  • 1.5 hour drive from Lisbon and then a 15 minute drive down a dirt road. Be prepared for your car to get a little dusty, this is all part of getting off-grid. Unfortunately this cabin is too difficult to get to via public transport at this time.

  • There is a designated parking spot at each site. You will not be able to drive right up to the cabin but we give you a trolly to carry your luggage the final few metres.

  • Before the day of your arrival, we will send you a Welcome Guide with a pin location to the entrance of the site. Once you are on site, just follow the guide instructions, as well as the Hiide arrows in bright orange to the cabin. We suggest arriving before dark.

  • No need, we will provide you with a Field Guide. Which gives you tons of recommendations about what you can do in the area. From chill entertainment in and around the cabin, to active hikes and cycling in the surrounding area.

Cancellation & Date changes

  • If your check-in date is 28 days or more away than we can cancel your stay (full refund) or move your stay to a new date. If the check-in date is between 14-28 days, we will only be able to move your stay to a new date. Less than 14 days, unfortunately we are unable to cancel or move your booking.

  • If you notify us at least 14 days before your arrival date then we will be able to reschedule your booking date. Rescheduled stays are non-refundable.
